1. Overview

Door of Hope values and appreciates every donation made in support of abandoned and vulnerable children. As donations are generally used immediately or allocated toward ongoing programmes and operations, refunds are considered on a limited basis.

2. Accidental Donations

If you believe a donation was made:

  • In error;
  • In an incorrect amount; or
  • Without authorization.

Please notify Door of Hope within 30 days of the transaction.

Requests should include:

  • Full name;
  • Contact details;
  • Date of donation;
  • Amount donated;
  • Proof of payment;
  • Reason for refund request.

3. Refund Consideration

Refund requests will be assessed at Door of Hope’s discretion and subject to:

  • Verification of payment;
  • Investigation of the circumstances;
  • Applicable banking and payment processing requirements.

4. Recurring Donations

Donors may cancel recurring donations at any time by contacting Door of Hope or managing their recurring donation settings where available.

Cancellation of future recurring donations will not automatically result in refunds of previous donations successfully processed.

5. Fraudulent Transactions

If a transaction is suspected to be fraudulent, Door of Hope may require supporting documentation and may work with the relevant payment provider, bank, or authorities before processing any refund.

6. Processing Time

Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method used for the donation. The time required for funds to appear in the donor’s account may depend on the donor’s bank or payment provider.
