If we are not able to reunite abandoned babies into healthy biological family situations, we believe the next best option for the child is to be adopted into a loving family. We are grateful for every person or family that is willing and able to open their heart and home to babies who have been left abandoned or orphaned.
Adoption in South Africa is facilitated by government accredited and registered adoption service providers. Door of Hope works with Child Protection Organisations accredited to facilitate adoption. For information and contact details of such organisations, please click here.

“God knew that it doesn’t matter how your children get to your family. It just matters that they get there.”

INTERNATIONAL INQUIRERS PLEASE NOTE
South Africa has limited agreements with foreign countries to place children if there are no South African adopters available. We work with Abba Adoptions and they have official agreements with Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, Norway and Germany; but in accordance to the working agreements, they do not deal with enquiries directly.
Parents from other countries, interested to adopt from South Africa are requested to contact the Central Authority in your own country to enquire about options to adopt from South Africa. Abba will not be able to deal with enquiries outside their mandate. Alternatively you can contact the South African Central Authority for more information.
